EXCLUSIVE: In a rare venture into TV series, Jason Patric has been tapped for a recurring role in the upcoming fifth season of Law & Order: Organized Crime.
He will play Detective Tim McKenna on the series, which follows the detectives of the Organized Crime Control Bureau as they take on New York City’s most vicious and violent criminal syndicates. Headlined by Christopher Meloni, Organized Crime is moving from NBC to Peacock for Season 5, which is slated to premiere on the streamer in 2025.
In addition to Meloni, Patric joins series regulars Danielle Mone Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, Rick Gonzalez and Dean Norris on Organized Crime, created by Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead and Ilene Chaiken and produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
Wolf executive produces alongside Paul Cabbad, Meloni and Peter Jankowski. The series doesn’t currently have a showrunner, with Olmstead drafted back to help with the remaining scripts after the November departure of John Shiban.
This marks only the second significant series commitment for Patric following his starring role on Season 2 of Fox’s Waywood Pines. The actor, known for such movies as The Lost Boys, Speed 2 and Narc, was most recently seen in the action film Armor and horror hit Terrifier 3. Patric is repped by More Medavoy Management and Eric Brooks at Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson and Christopher.
