Ashley Sutton (Monsters) will appear as a recurring guest star in the third season of Yellowjackets on Paramount+ with Showtime, Deadline has learned.
Details as to the role Sutton is playing are under wraps, but sources tell us she’ll appear in three of 10 episodes. As a guest star, she joins Joel McHale, who will also appear this season, as previously reported. The show is set to return with its first pair of new episodes just in time for Valentine’s Day, on February 14, with the episodes to debut on linear on February 16.
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
The series is created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), who along with Jonathan Lisco, serve as showrunners. Exec producers include Lyle, Nickerson, Lisco, Drew Comins of Creative Engine, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Brad Van Arragon. The series is produced for Showtime by Lionsgate Television.
Recently appearing in Netflix’s Golden Globe-nominated limited series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Sutton has also been seen in films like Swelter and Inner Demons. She is represented by Triniti Management and Mitchell & Associates Talent.
