Move over “covfefe,” JD Vance has just made a blunder on the global town square and referred to his boss, Donald Trump, as “Trunp.”
Everyone has the Trump Administration under a watchful eye as the tariffs imposed on the United States’ closest allies went into effect. Trump shared on Truth social media an update into a conversation she had with Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum and Vance shared a screenshot of the post on X, Elon Musk’s microblogging platform.
Vance, or the team that runs his X account, was seemingly so excited of “owning the left” that they made a huge mistake when referencing Trump.
“For three days a lot of the far left has actively rooted against America and argued we’d get nothing out of President Trunp’s demands that Mexico secure its country. Well, how do you like them apples?” read the X post.
Vance misspelled Trump’s last name, and as of this post, the X post was still up, published more than five hours ago.
Sheinbaum made her own post on X, where she correctly spelled Trump’s name and detailed the “series of agreements” after their conversation.
“Mexico will reinforce the northern border with ten thousand elements of the National Guard immediately to avoid drug trafficking, particularly fentanyl, from Mexico to the United States,” read one of the points. “The United States agreed to work on avoiding the trafficking to Mexico of high caliber weapons.”
Sheinbaum also noted that Trump agreed to hold off the tariffs for a month while the motions go into action.
