Tubi has slotted Thursday, February 6 for the premiere of The Z-Suite, its first in-house, live-action comedy series, starring Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls), Nico Santos (Superstore) and Madison Shamoun (The Lake). The eight-episode series will launch with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly each Thursday.
The Z-Suite is set at a boutique New York ad agency where generational divides see the established C-Suite and rising Gen Z employees collide. After a company decision spirals out of control, the agency’s reigning executives are pushed out and the Z-Suite employees are suddenly put in charge, ultimately testing both generations’ skills and patience.
In The Z-Suite, advertising maven Monica Marks (Graham) and her loyal right hand executive Doug Garcia (Santos) have long been at the top of the Madison Avenue world. But after a record scratch blunder, they are suddenly canceled, pushed out and replaced by the agency’s rising Gen Z employees led by social media manager, Kriska Thompson (Shamoun). Refusing to go quietly, Monica launches her biggest campaign yet– getting their careers back and taking down the eager team of Gen-Zers who are just getting comfortable in their new roles. May the best generation win.
The comedy hails from Katie O’Brien (The Santa Clauses, Teachers) who serves as creator, writer and showrunner. Also executive producing are Lance Samuels, Samantha Levine, and Daniel Iron of Blue Ice Pictures (Ginny & Georgia), and Eric Wattenberg, Gary Vaynerchuk and Matt Higgins of VaynerWatt. Graham and Tristram Shapeero also serve as executive producers. Jacque Edmonds serves as co-executive producer.
