Sarah Hyland said she was not disappointed her husband, Wells Adams, was the first person banished from The Traitors.
The Modern Family alum appeared on The View and revealed that it was “great” that Adams didn’t make it far on the third season of Peacock‘s competition reality series.
Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Hyland if she was “disappointed” Adams was not a good liar to make it further on The Traitors.
“He’s such a good guy. I would never use the word ‘disappointed’ and my husband’s name in the same sentence, ever,” the former Love Island USA host said. “I was sad that they kicked him off so soon, but he’s an amazing, funny human being.”
She continued, “I think it’s great that he was kicked off so soon because it’s not like it had anything to do with his character. They barely knew each other. The Traitors just have to go after someone.”
Hyland said she would be “horrible” at that show, with The View co-host finding the silver lining, adding that Adams “did not win the lying show.”
“As his wife, I’m very happy about that,” Hyland said.
During an exit interview following his time on The Traitors, the Bachelorette Season 12 alum said Hyland “wasn’t super proud of me,” telling EW, “She was bummed, I think. She ended up watching it this morning. I’m like, ‘What did you think?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, you don’t look that bad.’ I’m like, ‘It’s that bad, isn’t it?’”
