EXCLUSIVE: Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired North America rights to action caper Killing Mary Sue, starring Sierra McCormick (American Horror Stories) Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Jason Mewes (Clerks), Martin Kove (Cobra Kai) and Kym Whitley (Rango).
Samuel Goldwyn is planning to release this coming summer. Bleiberg Entertainment is handling international sales and will continue dealmaking at the upcoming EFM in Berlin.
Written and directed by James Sunshine, Killing Mary Sue is about a corrupt senator who arranges for the murder of his biggest liability, his erratic burnout stepdaughter, only for her to unwittingly discover her natural talent as an untouchable killer. Below is an image from the production.

“We’re excited to be working with Goldwyn, we think they’ll do a great job getting this unique and fun film out there for all to see and enjoy,” said producer Jonathan Sachar.
