The Netflix documentary Michael Jackson: The Verdict has brought renewed attention to an enduring controversy. One particular piece of evidence from 1993 has ignited more discussions than anything else — and it just won’t fade away.
In August 1993, thirteen-year-old Jordan Chandler informed LAPD investigators that Michael Jackson had molested him. As part of his testimony, Jordan gave a detailed description of Michael’s body — particularly markings and discolorations on his lower torso, including a notable blemish in his private area. He even drew a diagram and signed it.
Investigators considered this information highly significant.

In December 1993, authorities executed a search warrant at Neverland Ranch. Michael Jackson underwent a full strip search that lasted 25 minutes.
His body, including his private areas, was photographed and videotaped. He later described it as the most humiliating experience of his life.
Detective Rosibel Ferrufino-Smith, who features in the Netflix documentary, stated that Jordan’s detailed account made her believe there was no way he could have fabricated it.
The prosecution felt they had their smoking gun.
Michael Jackson’s Statement Following the Strip Search
However, no arrest was made. During the 2005 trial, prosecutor Thomas Sneddon indicated that there was only a partial match — a mark in roughly the same area on the p****, using the term “relative” instead of exact. Jordan had also described Michael as circum*****. Michael was not.
Grand jury records reveal that investigators even questioned Michael’s mother about whether he could have altered his appearance to avoid matching Jordan’s description.
